During our fennica event last October, we discovered the Fennica Premium jeans, developped in collaboration with newscomer on the Japanese denim scene, Boncoura.
This pair of jeans is based on the Levis 501 1954, one of the most prized possession of fennica buyer Terry Ellis. Fennica team and Boncoura made well-thought modification on the classic design. First, they used a slightly hevaier denim at 16oz which make them a perfect fall/winter jeans. The fabric used was a dead-stock fabric made in Japan that is more than 20 years old.
They also used a deerskin leather patch and original buttons from Boncoura. The model is shrink to fit - please buy 1 size up as the jeans will shrink 3 to 5cm to perfect size. Also, because of the 20-year dead stock, the fabric may have folding marks, which give these jeans a unique charm.
Fennica premium denim by Boncoura are available at our Sun Street store.
