"I like anything, as long as it is good"
Isabelle Rivoire Grange is a free-lance graphic designer and art director in the fashion and luxury industry, working with companies such as Kenzo, Issey Miyake, Cacharel.
Since 2007, she has developped her own brand, IRG, starting with panties and illustrated notebooks, available in select stores and department stores in Paris.
These basic, sensual and meaningful objects are designed in an ironic, fairy-like and sometimes provocative tone.
They are 100% made in France, with LOVE !
After panties and notebooks she now designs printed silk scarves. They can now be purchased at the Kapok store on St. Francis Yard or in our new webshop: ka-pok.com

Designers: Kay Wong & Jing Wong
Kay Wong received a Master of Arts in Constructed Textiles Design from the Royal College of Art, and a degree in Printed Textiles from Central St. Martin’s college of Art
and Design in London. She has set up her own label, Daydream Nation, with her brother Jing, who studied MA in Directing at the School of Speech and Drama.
Brand Description:
Daydream Nation is the exciting collaboration between the Royal College of Art Textile graduate Kay Wong and the Central Saint Martins Theatre Design/Directing graduate Jing Wong.
‘Daydream Nation’ is a hope that someday people will respect a silly thought like one respects a great painting, and that one day everyone can share and enjoy the subtle shades of beauty in the everyday. The designers expressed the tension between reality and fantasy of outgrowing adulthood and returning to childlike wonderland by making up a rather theatrical and playful collection. They have mainly used large plaids and diamond prints sit amongst blocked colours, Peter-Pan collars and trapeze baby-doll silhouette.
Inspiration:
The designers were inspired by legends and new myths…
Their believes in life in objects have led them to design garments inspired and adapted from vintage clothing that contains stories and memories. Their garments are devised through play and manipulation with old clothes. Through play they create new myths for the clothes each season, resulting in visual catwalk narratives.
Brand Philosophy:
We love what is not spoken.
We love dreams that foster in our heads.
We believe that daydreamers are the lost children in the society, and that the creative potential of a society depends upon them.
Daydreamers are the missing link to the poetics of life of which our society is slowly neglecting. ‘Daydream Nation’ is an attitude. It is a way of life in which people see boats in buckets and hear sea waves in radio glitches.

The Rhodia no. 12 project was curated by BooksActually in Singapore . Books Actually is a wonderful small bookstore run by Karen and Kenny, who will always find a great book to recommend if you visit them, and you should !
They invited individuals from various creative disciplines to draw, write, paste objects, or cut-up-into-shreds -- basically do whatever they desire, options from using it as a journal, or creating an artwork using the Rhodia No. 12 as their medium.
A month-long exhibition took place in Books Actually from 6 November till 5 December 2006, and we are happy to now welcome this exhibition at Kapok.
Why No. 12?

FleaCircus is the dream project of Diana and Zach, two young Singapore design whizzes who live and breathe art, beauty and design.
To define the unique style of their jewelry collection, they have coined the slogan : "a unique design of flea-market luxe". Kapok always love an apparent contradiction and is proud to be the first retailer to showcase the FleaCircus collection outside of their native Singapore.
You can already find some classics from the 2005 FleaCircus line, showcasing a creative streak of art and craft style in accessories from brooches, earrings to necklaces and a swoon-worthy signature series of clutch bags.
Diana and Zach are not afraid to be eclectic and have played with endless permutations of styles, from pure classic, cool contemporary to the super sweet. Be ready for looks that dazzle with colour, voluminous shapes and intricate details, such as the "bleach perfect" necklace pictured here, one of our favourites.
We are now looking forward to adding some new models from FleaCircus 2006 collection, including their fantastic creations for men (you can have an overview of the 2006 line in FleaCircus tres cool website.
